Arrive in time to enjoy the breath-taking sunset. Take lots of pictures. But even more impressive is the glowing orange moon-set of a full moon just before dawn. Not to be missed.

Look for Harbor Seals on low tide rocks from point deck. Windy? Go down to Whaler's Cove to warm up with the rising sun. Great tide pools just north of lighthouse at - tide. Gift store open Th-M 10-4

We're looking for a few good volunteers: Sunday, May 31st marks the start of the AIDS/LifeCycle - a 7 day bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles to help raise money and awareness in the fight against HIV/AIDS. Join Hostelling International USA at the Pigeon Point Hostel and help us hand out refreshments and encouragements to riders as they head down HWY1. Cyclists will be rolling by Pigeon Point between 10am and 4pm (approximately). We will be setting up an "Energizer Station" at the hostel, complete with snacks, water and other handouts. Riders will be encouraged to stop by for a snack, use the restrooms, and take pictures in front of the historic lighthouse. Volunteers are needed to staff the table, help with set-up and break down, and help guide interested riders toward the hostel. The schedule is flexible. Come on out and enjoy a beautiful day on the coast! Please contact dominic.lucchesi@hiusa.org to get involved.
