We are in the middle of our 70th Celebrations. A house load of Friends, past community, movement members and guests have joined us to raise the roof with celebrations, thanks and praise. We shall post some party highlights soon but for now, some wise words from the host team for this week.

With the help of a German engineer, Hungarian computer scientist, Brazilian teacher and a geordie kitchen TL it took no time at all to unwrap and put together our new snazzy exhibition stand! A bunch of Lee Abbeyites are heading to New Wine tomorrow to set up home in The Marketplace for two weeks. Might we bump into any of your lovely faces there?

Our new book will offer a glimpse into the spirit of each Lee Abbey Devon Warden era. Here are two more tiny appetizers; the Chapter beginnings for David Rowe and Simon Holland. It is so exciting to be able to start the printer ink rolling this Celebration book out. We promise to post as soon as we can about how you'll be able to purchase your own delightful copy.

As our publicity department have been working to put together a final draft of our 70th celebration book we came across this rather fabulous quote from a previous warden, Mike Edson ... 'As the Community here have often heard me say: “we grow at our edges”! It is as our faith is stretched and we allow God to take us to the edges of our faith that he can show us new things and so enlarge our vision of Him. The cutting edge of our faith is the knife edge of lives controlled by the Spirit of God. Lee Abbey stands for renewal of the church; renewal brought about through personal commitment to living under God's will.' Mike Edson, 1992 Praying that you'll meet God at the edges of your comfort zone today.

We all feel refreshed after this weekend just gone. Bristol Vineyard joined us for their church weekend away. There was salsa, samba, african drumming, origami, beach fires, zipwires, plenty of worship, fellowship, food and drinking in the sunshine. It was so good! Thinking of getting away together as a group? Take a look at what Lee Abbey has on offer... www.leeabbey.org.uk/devon/visiting-lee-abbey/groups/
